Classical music and magic go hand in hand in Madrid

The Reina Sofía Higher School of Music organizes this weekend, on Saturday, a new double session concert of the Fun Classics cycle, aimed at children from 5 to 14 years old. In this show, the audience enters into an innovative musical experience in which the Manzanares string quartet and the magician Quiquemago show how related the world of music and magic are. They also show that composers such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Paul Dukas, among others, merged both arts and were inspired by fairy tales to create some of their most famous musical works.

In this peculiar combination of music and magic, children and adults will discover the magical possibilities of classical and folk music, the power of sound and silence, they will sing enchanted songs and participate in a multitude of magical moments full of humor.

The show has been performed in important auditoriums such as the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, Manuel de Falla in Granada, Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, Teatro Cervantes in Malaga, German University Karlsruhe and the Cervantes Institute in Budapest, among others.

This is a concert that stimulates the imagination and ears of children and adults, designed to encourage the enjoyment of classical music.

Since last year, the Reina Sofía Music School has held three double-session concerts. Now, the first one will be held and the next ones will be in February and April.
