Carmen Balfagón, Daniel Sancho's lawyer: "The investigation is going to take a 180 degree turn"

One week has passed since the murder of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta on the Thai island of Koh Phangan. And despite the fact that in the early days everything seemed to point in one direction, things might not be what they seem. This is stated by Carmen Balfagón, who now defends Daniel Sancho, the only suspect so far, and son of the well-known actor Rodolfo Sancho.

As expected given the circumstances surrounding the case, this first week has been a real whirlwind of information about the murder. Revelations, leaks to the press and endless details have made this crime one of the topics that currently arouse the most interest.

However, now the scenario could change. In an exclusive interview on the program La última noche with Sandra Barneda, Balfagón has been very forceful about this case: "The investigation is going to take a 180 degree turn."

Balfagón remained largely tight-lipped about the details, but left a warning that did not go unnoticed: "I know things that I can't reveal yet, but this case could have an unexpected twist. It is necessary to follow the line of what Daniel has shared." .

The lawyer, in parallel, commented above how she joined the case and how Daniel's entire family nucleus is experiencing this heartbreaking process. "The family is devastated," Balfagón said. In addition, he explained that anyone can get "an idea of what this represents for a normal family who have been unexpectedly immersed in a crime of this nature", to which is added that "Daniel is in a jail in Thailand; that It aggravates the whole picture."

Balfagón also shared how Daniel's parents, Rodolfo and Silvia, approached her: "They contacted me this morning. Apparently, they received messages that I was talking about the possibility that another person was involved in the crime. They have decided to turn off the television, as it is not easy to see your son relive the crime scene before the authorities."
