The ARC awards, the live music industry awards given annually by the Professional Association of Representatives, Promoters and Managers of Catalonia, announced this Wednesday the nominations for the 20th edition that will be held in Lleida, as a novelty this year, on November 30 in the Teatre de la Llotja.
Musical groups such as Buhos, La Pegatina, Stay Homas or the singer Suu, are nominated for best tour by artist or group of own authorship.
The meeting point for artists, professionals, the media, entities, sponsors, public institutions and companies that organize live performances in Catalonia moves for the first time to the capital of Segrià with the aim of promoting the development of the live music sector and of Catalan culture in the same way that it evolves in Barcelona.
As reported by the mayor of Lleida, Miquel Pueyo, the event also aims to promote artistic recruitment in the province. Pueyo considers that there should be an increase in the economic activity of the territory and new business opportunities within this sector. Therefore, the day will adopt a Networking style (ProARC 2022 Lleida treball day).
In the category of best cover or tribute group tour, the nominees are Abba The New Experience, Banda Neon, Pelukass and Version Impossible.
The nominees for best orchestra tour or dance group are Cafè Trio, Cobla-orquestra Montgrins, La Principal de la Bisbal and Orquestra Maravella.
In the category of best artist or group tour for children or family audiences, the organization has selected Concerts for the youngest, Dàmaris Gelabert, Landry and Reggae for Xics.
The nominees in the category of new artist or group are Emlan, La Fúmiga, Luna Ki and The Tyets, and for best music program or concert venue the list includes L'Oncle Jack, La Nau, Sala Taro and Sidecar.
As the best program of festivals or concert cycles, the organization has chosen the Acoustic Festival, the Jardins Pedralbes Festival, Porta Ferrada and Tarragona Music Festival as the best fiesta mayor those of Calella, Lleida, the Festes de Santa Tecla and the Decennial Festivities of the Virgin of La Candela de Valls.
In the category of best journalist or musical program, Esteban Linés, Sergi Sánchez, and La Cinta de Möbius are nominated.
The new edition has a total of 43 nominations, which will be chosen through voting by ARC associates.
