Born Gastronomic District is born to give visibility to restaurants and shops in the neighborhood

The Born-La Ribera neighborhood has a new gastronomic seal. With the desire to promote the gastronomic offer of the Barcelona neighborhood and its role in forming links between people, the associations Barcelona Born Gourmet and Barcelona Born Comerç have promoted Born Districte Gastronòmic, a project that brings together shops with exclusive products, restaurants, cocktail bars , and gastronomic entities.

This seal aims to create a community among all the members and highlight the wide gastronomic offer of the district and its social impact.

In the Born Districte Gastronòmic manifesto, they state that their objective is to give visibility to the profession of all merchants and restaurateurs and to take care of this environment. The project wants to publicize the restaurants where traditional cuisine prevails, but also those that have become great references of a more innovative and exclusive gastronomy.

That is why this seal includes gourmet product establishments, gastronomic societies, cocktail bars and markets with a long history in El Born. But also, more recent businesses or those that have gained great relevance in this country. Some are the Jon Cake bakery (by Jon García), Estimar (Rafa Zafra), Vila Viniteca (Eva and Quim Vila), La Vinya del Senyor (Jordi Arna), the Santa Caterina market, the Fishermen's Guild, the renowned cocktail bar Paradiso (fourth position in The World's 50 Best Bars), or 7 Portes, with more than 180 years of experience.

The presentation of the stamp was held at the Moco Museum last week, and was attended by the graphic artists responsible for its design, Andreu Buenfauente, Javier Mariscal, Mikel Urmeneta and Fernando Rapa Carballo.
