Bin Valencia, former drummer of the Argentine heavy metal group Almafuerte, has died this morning during a concert accompanied by his wife and children. The death took place when Sirio Rock, the band formed by the four members of the Valencia family, presented new material for their fourth album.
The news has been announced on social networks by one of his companions in the heavy metal band, Claudio Tano Marciello, who has written: "You left the stage. What a champion! Good trip, Bin". The cause of death is unknown, but several local media suggest that it could be a cardiac arrest.
Bin Valencia, 61, was a member of the reference group Almafuerte from 2001 to 2016. For more than a decade, the band proved to be the most important musical project in Argentine heavy metal.
After the dissolution of Almafuerte, Valencia had turned to his family project, Sirio Rock, started by his two sons, David and Nils Winter, in 2010.
