Ayuso offers Catalonia his economic model: "I want it to do as well as Madrid"

Isabel Díaz Ayuso has been the protagonist this Monday of an act in the Equestrian Circle of Barcelona, a city in which she has said she feels at home, and has offered Catalonia the model of "freedom" that has turned Madrid into an "economic locomotive " of Spain, at the same time that he has charged harshly against the independence movement and has criticized the absence of the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, and the mayoress of the Catalan capital, Ada Colau, at the reception for the King prior to the inaugural dinner of the Mobile World Congress, held yesterday.

In a very vehement speech against the independence movement and the coalition that supports the government of Pedro Sánchez, the Madrid president has set Madrid as an example of coexistence, where "no one is excluded because of their accent", she pointed out after citing the philosopher Fernando Savater , for whom separatism is the "diabolical task" of dividing citizens. "Politicizing everything is the definition of totalitarianism," said Ayuso, for whom establishing Catalan as the vehicular language at school meant "trampling on" the rights of many Spanish-speaking citizens.

"You are not alone", Ayuso reminded non-separatist Catalans, to whom he has offered "alternative policies to the delusion of separatism" and reminded them that "Madrid is at the service of all of Spain: now more than ever". And from there he has extolled his community as a "welcoming region full of opportunities" where the way of life is "friendly, happy and mestizo." "Instead of shielding ourselves, we welcome everyone with open arms without asking anyone where they come from," said the Madrid president.

"In Madrid there are no outsiders, maketos or charnegos. There is no one left over. It is the house of all accents. In Madrid no person is labeled or political commitments of any kind are requested. There is hope, something that is reflected in the economic data, which make it the economic locomotive of Spain, with 20% of GDP", continued the president, who has offered her model of "freedom", the "most precious asset that man has", to Catalonia: " I would like us to grow together. I want Catalonia to do the same as Madrid".

In this sense, he has regretted the absence of Aragonès and Colau from the reception to Felipe VI, a "childish and unnecessary" gesture, in his opinion, and has defended the way of understanding life in Madrid, where no time has been wasted , he has stressed, "in pursuing dreams that do not exist." "Instead of building walls, we prefer to tear them down," he explained.

After charging against the independence movement, Ayuso has directed his dialectical darts against the Government and has made it ugly by looking for culprits in the PP for "things from years ago" while trying to hide a recent case of alleged corruption like the one that Tito Berni has starred in. , which, he has predicted, "is going to bring down" Pedro Sánchez: "Tito Berni... Tito Berni... I hope that Sánchez has a way to prove that he was never in Tito Berni's business...", he ironized.

"Tito Berni is a socialist deputy who has already resigned and was dedicated to collecting commissions and spending money on prostitutes and drugs with at least 15 other socialist deputies," said Ayuso, for whom "Sánchez not only deals with a government confronted, but also a government that releases violators and corrupt people and has "the obligation to give explanations about the activities of Tito Berni".

Ayuso, who has arrived at the Círculo Ecuestre after taking a walk along the Rambla with the PP candidate for Barcelona mayor, Daniel Sirera, a journey in which he has stopped to chat more than once with the citizens who went out to his meeting, has assured that in Madrid what matters is "the ability, vocation and work" of people, for which reason he has rejected the "ideologization of classrooms and books".

After the welcome from the club's president, Antonio Delgado, and the introduction of the vice-president, Enrique Lacalle, who has expressed, from Barcelona, his "envy" for a Madrid that "is going like a shot", the person in charge of presenting to the Madrid's president has been Albert Boadella.

The Catalan actor and playwright, who moved to Madrid in 2009 to direct the Teatros del Canal and from there has promoted the Tabarnia platform, which satirically combats independence, recalled the presentation of Ciudadanos on the same stage, 17 years back. "It was my contribution to a freedom project," said Boadella, who added that today's event also has to do with freedom and has praised Ayuso as its "president" despite being Catalan.

"He says what he thinks and assumes the risks of carrying out his thoughts, making decisions on the most committed issues", praised the founder of Els Joglars, who concluded his brief speech with "two provocative words": "Long live Spain !" he proclaimed.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso's conference at the Equestrian Circle brought together numerous representatives of the Catalan business and economic world, including Javier Godó, Count of Godó, president of Grupo Godó and publisher of La Vanguardia, and the president of the Catalan employers' association Foment of Work, Josep Sánchez Book.
