The Municipal Institute of Parks and Gardens has opened the call for public offers of 75 positions for gardening and pruning assistants (65 for gardening assistants and 10 for pruning work) to increase the staff of the territorial brigades.
With this call we want to reinforce the workforce at a time when it is necessary to combat the effects of the drought situation and guarantee the survival irrigation of the trees.
Likewise, the offer will make it possible to have personnel to achieve the objectives of the Endreça Plan, among which is guaranteeing excellence in public spaces.
The vacancies announced were approved by the Government Commission of Barcelona City Council on November 16 and reinforce the council's commitment to the institute and green spaces in Barcelona.

The call for public offers is an opportunity to take care of green spaces and, above all, trees, which are currently under great water stress due to the lack of water.
Among the advantages, it is also worth highlighting that the work is carried out outdoors, being essential for the future of the city's greenery and to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Of the 75 positions available, 65 are for the gardening assistant job and 10 for the pruning job.
As general requirements, it is essential to have a secondary education qualification of ESO or equivalent and, at least, level B1 of Catalan.
In the case of the pruning job, it is also necessary to have a C or B driving license prior to 2009 and the lifting platform certificate, which must have been accredited before the practical test.

At the time of registration, the correctly completed application form (Annex 3) and the CV of merits (Annex 4) must be attached, along with the documents related to base 4a. Documentation regarding merits will be requested later, during the course of the process.
