What was going to be a day of celebration and good humor ended up turning into the complete opposite. A 9-year-old girl, who was enjoying the Cádiz Carnival Parade with her family and friends, was the victim of touching by a 55-year-old man.
Taking advantage of the tumult, the aggressor sexually assaulted the minor until her father realized what was happening, took his daughter to safety and held the individual until the Police arrived.
Despite the man's efforts to flee, the minor's father and some friends managed to hold him until police officers could take him into custody.
The events occurred on Saturday night, when the National Police reported that a man had touched a girl who was attending the so-called parade of humor that runs through the streets of the city center of Cádiz on the second Saturday of carnival.
When the officers arrived, they found that the man was being held, already away from the girl, by several witnesses, so that the police, upon hearing everyone's story, decided to take him to the police station for identification and subsequent arrest.
After spending the night detained at the National Police station, he was brought to justice on Sunday and the court on duty ordered him released with charges.
