Aquellum, a luxury resort hidden in the Saudi mountains

Saudi Arabia began an innovative and futuristic project in 2017, which goes beyond any design imagined before, a megacity project they called Neon (abbreviation of the Arabic term Neo-Mustaqbal, new future), in a territory in the north of the country of 26,500 km2, located between the desert, mountains up to 2,500 meters high and 468 kilometers of virgin coasts. Ultra-luxury and avant-garde buildings will be built there to create a city from scratch. The Line is perhaps the best-known building, but not the only one, since the proposals are very diverse, such as Aquellum, which was presented at the beginning of the year.

It is, according to the promoters themselves, a luxury "inverted skyscraper" nestled in a 450-meter-high mountain on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, a structure that will be 100 meters high, whose façade will look inward instead of outward, and that will integrate harmoniously into the natural environment. They define it as something new that will change people, “it is the metaverse but that can be experienced physically.”

A luxury resort that can only be accessed through a hidden underground tunnel, in which a special boat will take visitors on board to enjoy a unique experience from one of the largest marinas in the world, built in a place close to the hotel. Upon arrival you will find an open plaza over the sea, surrounded by a patio with walkable paths, which will rise from the water to the sky. From below you will see balconies with geometric shapes, terraces, ponds and indoor waterfalls, while above, on the roof, there will be beautiful gardens with walkable paths that will offer impressive views of the coast.

It will have a floating marina that will be located in the sea next to the mountain range, and will have hotels, apartments, museums, cinemas, commercial spaces, leisure and entertainment areas, as well as a space called "The Generator" that will house research laboratories.

The location is exceptional as it will be a short distance from the tourist complexes also under construction of Leyja, Epicon and Siranna.
