Anti-violence opens an investigation to discover those who hung the Vinícius doll

The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport in its meeting today at the headquarters of the State Attorney General's Office addressed the episode of placement on a bridge near the Sports City of Real Madrid of a banner with the motto "Madrid hates Real" and a black doll hung in a clear reference to Vinícius in the preview of the Real Madrid-Atlético de Madrid match of the Cup.

In a statement at the end of the session, the Commission highlighted that "the State Security Forces and Corps have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. Work is being done, among other lines of investigation, on visualizing the traffic surveillance cameras in the area, as well as the images published on social networks to raise the corresponding sanction proposals for the perpetrators of these despicable acts of a racist, xenophobic or intolerant nature," he writes.

The Commission also notes that "both the Federation and the League have reiterated their strong condemnation of this sad episode and have shown their determination to collaborate with the Commission to achieve the identification of the perpetrators. In addition, the Permanente has valued the immediate reaction of the clubs Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid who, through separate statements, expressed their condemnation and rejection of the events and showed their willingness to work together with the authorities to identify the perpetrators".

Finally, the Commission also addresses the insults to Vinícius during Real Madrid's visit to Zorrilla on December 30: "In the same way, in relation to the insults uttered to this same player by local fans in the League match he faced Real Valladolid and Real Madrid, on December 30, the Commission began processing the sanction proposals for more than a dozen fans, whose identification has been possible thanks to the effective collaboration of the Real Valladolid club".

And he adds: "The State Security Forces and Corps continue to analyze the available images to gather more evidence and propose sanctions, which due to their seriousness, are associated with fines of 4,000 euros and the prohibition of access to sports venues for a period of one year for each of those identified".
