Among the alternate jurors to sit the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin known as the experience of observing one of the most essential authorities use-of-force trials in years"psychological" and"draining"
Lisa Christensen, known as juror No. 96, told Minneapolis ABC affiliate KTSP she didn't believe the trial could affect her as far as it did, stating that there were times when she'd return home from courtroom and proceed to bed along with others when she'd spend some time reflecting on the testimonies of these witnesses out of this day, she explained.
Seeing the mobile movie of Floyd's departure completely, which Christensen hadn't ever done prior to the trial, was"picture," and despite seeing it day after day,"it never got any easier," she explained.
Hearing the testimony in the bystanders has been"very emotional" too, Christensen explained.
"I could sense their despair, their guilt. I had been sitting pretty much right alongside them.
Christensen considers the"main witness" the nation needed was pulmonologist Dr. Martin Tobin, who clarified the practice of Floyd expiring in a manner in which the jurors could know,'' she explained.
For them, they could describe the use-of-force policy.
Christensen confessed that, prior to serving, she had been worried for her safety and the court didn't let the jurors who'd function as an alternative. Christensen was finally disappointed that she wouldn't partake in the deliberations.
Christensen stated she will sympathize with Chauvin, who believes"made a massive error" that cost somebody their life.
"You know, no one is a winner from the entire scenario," she explained. "I feel awful "
"It will be with me for a little while," Christensen said of this trial. "I expect we did it and we got it right. We tried to place all our effort into making the proper decisions."
