A vehicle traveling in the opposite direction causes an accident with two deaths on the AP-7

One of the two vehicles that collided head-on in an accident that occurred this Tuesday on the AP-7 near Senija (Alicante) in which the two drivers died was going in the opposite direction, investigation sources have reported.

The accident occurred at 6:52 p.m. at kilometer point 621.5 of the AP-7 (now toll-free) in the Murcia direction, and the driver who was traveling in the opposite direction for unconfirmed reasons was the 84-year-old deceased.

Like this man, the other driver, 72, lost his life as a result of the blow. It turns out that these two deceased were the only occupants of their vehicles, a car and a van, although the accident involved a third vehicle occupied by a couple, a 64-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man, who were injured with multiple contusions.

A SAMU ambulance could only confirm the death of the men aged 84 and 72 and, for its part, a Basic Life Support unit transferred the two injured to the Marina Baixa hospital in La Vila Joiosa.
