In the course of a preventive surveillance operation in different bars of the municipality, on the afternoon of Thursday, September 7, members of the Local Police of Pineda de Mar (Maresme) and Mossos d'Esquadra carried out the preparation of 8 minutes and the identification of 26 people for drug possession; mostly hashish and marijuana, but a smaller amount of cocaine was also seized.
The seized drug, according to police sources, was for personal use, and the operation was carried out within the framework of preventive surveillance routines that the local police periodically carry out in Pineda de Mar.
These preventive surveillance operations are articulated based on the knowledge that the Local Police and the Mossos d'Esquadra have of the municipal area, and the identified hot spots where there may be drug trafficking.
