Last Sunday, the Mossos d'Esquadra reported a hunter in Reus for shooting in the direction of the AP-7 highway and for violating the hunting safety distance.
The events occurred in the morning, towards kilometer 252 of the road, where there was a Mossos traffic patrol working on an accident.
While doing the service they heard shotgun shots very close and located some of the pellets a few meters from where they were. They then saw a hunter quickly leaving the area. The patrol chased him and located him shortly after.
The agents requested the intervention of the Regional Environment Unit who, upon arriving at the scene and after carrying out the pertinent checks, administratively reported the hunter for not respecting the safety distance of 75 meters on an expressway, for firing the shot in the direction to the AP-7 highway and for hunting in a declared security zone.
The Mossos remind that the fines regulated by the state hunting law have been updated and that these events constitute very serious infractions punishable by between 3,001 and 120,000 euros.
The file has been processed in the territorial services of the Department of Climate Action.
