About 100 women will participate in the '1st International Congress on Gender Perspective. Social Movements and Political Strategy', promoted by the UB Chair of Gender Perspective and Feminisms Ciutat de Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona).
It will take place on December 11 and 12 in the Vicenç Badenes Auditorium and in other spaces of the Citilab in Cornellà de Llobregat, and will feature 10 presentations by experts, the UB reports in a statement this Tuesday.
Among the speakers, the UB highlighted the specialist in cyberfeminism and digital culture, Remedios Zafra; the director of the GEYPO Gender and Politics research group at the Complutense University of Madrid, Emanuela Lombardo; the member of the Novembre Feminista platform, Dolo Pulido; and the Kurdish journalist and translator, Amina Hussein.
The organizing committee has announced the participation of more than 120 participants, a figure that it valued very "positively" and that, in its words, demonstrates the changes that are taking place.
The opening ceremony - on Monday 11 at 9 o'clock - will be presented by the professor and director of the Trinidad Donoso-Vázquez Chair; and the Minister of Equality and Feminism, Tània Verge, the mayor of Cornellà, Antonio Balmón and the vice-rector of Equality and Gender of the UB, Montserrat Puig, will participate.
