A fire near the tracks interrupts railway circulation in Valencia

Two fire crews and an ambulance have been mobilized due to the fire in a house between the València Nord and Alfafar station, whose smoke has affected the tracks. The Civil Guard has evacuated about forty people and reports that it has no evidence of injuries due to smoke inhalation.

Renfe has reported that the situation affects the Cercanías network and also the Long and Medium Distance trains.

The incident occurred in a shanty town located in the San Marcelino area, and according to the Emergency Coordination Center, there were no injuries. The first information from Renfe indicated that only some Cercanías lines were affected, but traffic on the rest has subsequently been interrupted.

The Emergency Coordination Center received the notification at around 12:16 p.m. and mobilized a SAMU ambulance and a unit from the Basic Vital Service (SVB) to the place, San Vicente Mártir Street. The SAMU medical team has assisted a 28-year-old woman for an anxiety crisis, who has been discharged "on site".

The BLS unit has remained on site as a preventive measure and there is no further assistance at the moment, as reported by the CICU.

The Cercanías lines affected, Renfe has detailed, are the C1 (Valencia Nord -Gandia), the C-2 (Valencia Nord-Xàtiva-Moixent), the C-6 (Valencia Nord-Castelló) and the C-5 (Valencia Nord-Caudiel).
