A driver runs over some Bolsonaro supporters in a roadblock in Brazil

Thousands of supporters of Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil still do not accept the electoral results that give victory to Lula da Silva. The protests, the roadblocks and the tension are spreading throughout the country. This Wednesday a driver in Mirassol, in the state of São Paulo, responded to one of these pickets by running over the Bolsonaristas who had blocked the way.

According to O'Globo, the events occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time. The Military Police details that the car hit the group of supporters of the current president in the middle of the highway. These were launching furious slogans, among which the request for a coup d'état was not lacking.

At least ten people were injured as a result of the outrage, two of them seriously. As can be seen in several of the videos that have gone viral on social networks, the driver accelerated before the mass of protesters and ran over them without stopping. The perpetrator of the hit-and-run was later arrested.

With the spiral of violence from the protests of his supporters in large cities and the serious incident in São Paulo, Bolsonaro has already addressed his followers in a Twitter video to ask that the roadblocks cease.

“I want to appeal to you: unblock the roads. That does not seem to me to be part of legitimate demonstrations (...) Other demonstrations that are taking place throughout Brazil, in squares... are part of the democratic game. Feel comfortable”, expressed the far-right president.

"Protest in another way, in other places, that is very welcome," he insisted, adding: "I am with you and I am sure you are with me. My request is about the roads. We are going to unblock them for the good of our nation." .
