The Court of Barcelona has sentenced a man to 26 years and 4 months in prison for raping two women and trying to do it with two more, assaulting them in the portals of his house in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Barcelona several summer nights in 2021. The man assaulted the girls when they entered the portal, grabbed them by the neck, covered their mouths and noses so they would not scream, threatened them with death, and raped or attempted to rape them. In addition, the court imposes restraining orders and prohibition of communication with the victims, as well as supervised release once the prison term has been completed, which may not exceed 20 years. The convicted person, who admitted to the two consummated violations, will also have to compensate the victims with a total of almost 150,000 euros.

Based on the statements of the victims and the DNA tests, the Court considers it proven that at midnight from Sunday to Monday, July 5, 2021, he ran into a 20-year-old girl on Llançà de l'Hospitalet street, entered the portal of her house behind her, he approached her, grabbed her by the neck, suffocating her so she wouldn't scream. Between her stairs and a landing of hers he pulled down her pants and penetrated her vaginally. In addition to her, he threw her to the ground and threatened to kill her if she said anything about her, assuring that he had done it before her and that she had friends through the portal. He later proposed to her to have anal sex, which the girl refused.

After the events, he took her handbag, took out a bank card and ID and photographed them with his mobile phone. That done, he threatened her with death again, saying that she knew who she was and where she lived.

On July 9, also around midnight, the defendant saw how a 27-year-old woman entered his doorway, also in l'Hospitalet, grabbed her by the neck, suffocated her and also threatened her with death. The woman, panicked, urinated on her and told her that she was pregnant, so the man let her go.

The man kept touching and kissing her, pulled off her shirt and tried to unbutton her pants. The victim, appearing to remain calm, asked the attacker to dry off, a moment that she took advantage of to reach the ordinary street and ask for help.

In the early morning of September 10-11, the defendant assaulted another 18-year-old girl in a doorway in l'Hospitalet. Using similar methods, he seized her by the neck, threatened her, and threw her to the ground. The girl, with her nose and mouth covered, momentarily lost consciousness of her. The assailant punched her face and the girl's skull, pulled down her top, and licked her breasts. When the man touched her genitals, the girl told him that she had HIV, which made the attacker stop momentarily. The victim took the opportunity to run up the stairs home and scream.
