California County claims it made mistakes in its Spanish-language voter guide. It was sent a month before Tuesday's statewide primary elections.
Friday's announcement by the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office on its website stated that one page of their guide was incorrect.
An incorrect deadline for voting was set for June 7th, rather than April 12. It also mentioned voters in Windsor County, not Sonoma County. After several sexual assault allegations, Windsor voters held a special election.
Spanish and English versions of the voter guide were available, but the English version was free from any errors.
The errors in the Spanish version were a result of a miscommunication when printing, according to Wendy Hudson, chief deputy registrar of voters at the Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor's Office.
According to U.S. Census data, Latinos make up just a little over 27 percent of Sonoma County residents.
The Registrar of Voters Office sincerely apologized for the mistakes and any confusion they caused.
