The players who have played on loan at Espanyol this season, goalkeeper Álvaro Fernández, winger Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel, midfielders Denis Suárez and Vinicius Souza and striker Dani Gómez, will not continue with the blue and white entity, as reported by the club this season. In the case of Vini Souza (from Lommel) and Denis Suárez (Celta), both were on loan without a purchase option. For its part, the loan of Pierre-Gabriel (Mainz 05), Álvaro Fernández (Huesca) and Dani Gómez (Levante) did contemplate an economic amount to continue, although the club will not make it effective.
Of all of them, the players on loan with the most prominence this season have been Vini Souza, with 34 games, 27 of them as starters, and Denis Suárez, who arrived in January, with 18 games played, 11 in the starting team.
It is the first decision regarding the planning of the next season after relegation to the Second Division. The Catalan entity thanked, in the statement, the "effort and professionalism" of the five players who will not continue in the parakeet discipline.
