For this Thursday, anticyclonic weather is expected to continue throughout the country, with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies or high clouds and an absence of precipitation. However, abundant low cloudiness is expected in the west of Galicia, the northern plateau, valleys of the southern plateau, Ebro and depressions in the northeast, which is likely to cause morning fog.
Maximum temperatures will decrease slightly in the south of Galicia, the Ebro valley and on the northern plateau, tending to increase or remain unchanged with few changes in the rest of the country, somewhat more intensely on the Andalusian Mediterranean coast and the southeastern coast. In the minimum, few changes are expected.
The hottest capitals will be Murcia (27), Granada (26), Valencia (25) and Alicante, Girona, Huelva, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Seville (24), and it will be colder in Lleida (11) and Palencia and Zamora ( 12). The agency recalls that these are "high values" for the time in most of the country.
The stable weather will continue on Friday across the country, with mostly clear skies and no rain. However, the approach of an Atlantic front will leave intervals of medium and high clouds in the northern third of the peninsula. The maximums will drop in some points, but will continue to be high for the time of year in almost all of Spain.
As for this weekend, the last of January, the anticyclonic weather will persist, although with a tendency to subside, Aemet predicts. However, looking ahead to next week, the agency expects temperatures to remain "above normal throughout the peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands."
