Unstable weather is expected this Tuesday, marked by the approach of an isolated depression at high levels (DANA) to the north of the peninsula and an Atlantic low to the west, with unusual uncertainty in its evolution, the State Meteorological Agency points out in its forecast ( Aemet).
Thus, cloudy or overcast skies will predominate on the Peninsula with precipitation, which will affect a good part of the southern and northwestern half of the peninsula, although due to the uncertainty of the situation, the agency does not rule out that it will also extend to other parts of the territory. , except for inland areas of the northeast.
The rains are expected to be more intense in the southwest of Andalusia, where they will be accompanied by occasional storms, and it is not ruled out that they will become strong in the area around the Strait.
It will continue to be very cold in some areas of Spain. The provinces of Huesca, Mallorca, Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, Navarra and Guipúzcoa will be on notice this Tuesday for minimum temperatures, which may reach 8 degrees below zero in the Pyrenees of Huesca and minus 10 in the Aran Valley.
In the rest, the maximums will decrease in the area of Alborán, depressions in the northeast and the Cantabrian Sea, tending to increase in the rest, more markedly in mountain environments in the center and northeast.
In the latest information note from the Aemet, issued this Monday, the agency lowers the probability of snowfall for this Tuesday, although it could occur in the southern Iberian Peninsula, east of the southern plateau, west of the Central system and in the Cantabrian Mountains, with elevation between 600-1000 meters. In the Betic system, it will be around 2000 meters.
The effects of DANA will be noticeable until Thursday. For the next few days, widespread frosts are expected, except on the coasts and in the southwest quadrant of the peninsula.
