The presence of a powerful anticyclone over the peninsula will lead to a long episode of early spring in Spain, with anomalous values for the time of year, which will range between 20-25 degrees, even up to a maximum of 27 in Murcia, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
In the middle of January and during the next two weeks, thermal anomalies are expected in the atmosphere that will lead to very stable weather with hardly any precipitation, with the exception of early Tuesday in the extreme north of the peninsula, details the agency spokesperson, Cayetano Torres.
For this Tuesday, the close passage of an Atlantic front will leave cloudy skies in western Galicia with some weak and occasional precipitation, also causing greater cloudiness at first in the rest of the extreme north, without ruling out some drizzle in the eastern Cantabrian Sea.
On the other hand, abundant low morning cloudiness is expected in the northern half of the Atlantic slope, the Tagus and Guadiana valleys, La Mancha, the Iberian area, depressions in the northeast, the Balearic Islands and Melilla, leaving morning mists and mists.
Starting today, the general rise in temperatures begins, except for the minimum temperatures in the northwest and the maximum temperatures in the Pyrenees, where they will decrease. There could also be a decrease in areas of the Northern plateau, where the fogs were more persistent.
The maximum temperatures will exceed 20 degrees in Alicante, Cádiz and Seville; 16 degrees in Barcelona, 20 degrees in Bilbao and Ourense; 19 degrees in Oviedo, 14 degrees in Valladolid and Zaragoza and 14 degrees in Madrid.
Starting on Wednesday and Thursday, the anticyclonic stability situation will persist with practically non-existent rains. If Aemet's forecasts come true, Thursday could be the hottest day of this episode of early spring in our country. The maximum temperatures could rise to 27 degrees in Murcia and Valencia, up to 25 degrees in Alicante and around 24 degrees in Seville.
