High pressures will continue to dictate the weather in the coming days in Spain. Almost the entire country will continue with high temperatures for the time of year, few clouds and almost no precipitation. This scenario will be repeated, at least, until next Wednesday, when "a change in trend" is expected with several Atlantic fronts gaining ground, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Starting on Wednesday, although with uncertainty, the fronts are expected to leave a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies and practically widespread rainfall, although they will be less probable and abundant in Mediterranean areas. There will also be a drop in temperatures.
Until that day, we will continue with few changes. This Friday a humid flow from the north will leave intervals of high clouds in the north of Galicia, upper Ebro, Cantabrian Sea and in the east. In the rest, clear skies are expected, also with some intervals of low morning clouds in the Balearic Islands, southwest valleys, Estrecho and Alborán, the agency continues.
The maximums will decrease in large inland areas of the northern and eastern half of the peninsula, without experiencing major changes in the rest. Despite the decreases, Aemet reminds that they will remain at high values for the time. On the other hand, the minimum temperatures will increase in the extreme north, a good part of the northeastern third, plateaus and the Balearic Islands.
For Saturday, anticyclonic weather will persist in almost the entire country, with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies. Temperatures will drop in the southern half of the peninsula and the archipelagos, and will rise in the rest of the country. The heat will be noticeable especially in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas and Seville, with values above 20 degrees.
Maximum temperatures will tend to increase on Sunday. The rise will be more pronounced in the middle and upper Ebro and inland areas of the east and southeast. The highest values will occur in Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Murcia, Seville, Girona, Granada and Huelva.
