Civil Protection has activated the alert for intense heat this Monday due to the weather forecast of extreme temperatures tomorrow in a general way throughout Catalonia, especially in the regions of Lleida, the Pyrenees, central Catalonia and Girona.

According to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC), it will be in Girona where the highest heat peak will be reached, being able to exceed 44 °C. In the regions of Lleida and central Catalonia this figure may reach 43 °C and in the Pyrenees 40 °C.
