The mayor began by thanking the support of the 80,000 Barcelona residents who trusted the PP, more than twice as much as in previous elections. "We did it, in the end we did it", said the popular candidate, who congratulated himself that the PP had returned to Barcelona "with strength".
"Only eight months ago the polls said that the PP would be left without representation in the City Council. And in just four months we have doubled the representation", exclaimed Sirera, happy. "The PP is back and it's back with gusto, with four councilors who will give their skins to achieve change in Barcelona", he added.
"We are the main force of constitutionalism in Barcelona", he finished with a wink at the voters of Ciutadans i Valents, which the PP aspires to represent from now on.
