The Badalona police intervene in a workshop that repeats dumping waste into the public network

Last week, the Badalona Urban Guard (Barcelonès Nord) carried out a performance in a mechanical workshop on Avenida Sant Salvador, in the Artigas neighborhood, in collaboration with the National Police Corps, Labor Inspection and the Mossos d'Esquadra.

During the course of the operation, an arrest was made by the National Police Corps due to the irregular situation of a person in the country and several reports were drawn up, one of them for the irregular dumping of waste into the wastewater network.

It so happens that the workshop itself had a report from seven months ago that had been drawn up for the same circumstance and the police officers were able to verify that the irregular dumping situation had not been corrected. On the other hand, the Labor Inspection requested information about the employment situation of one of the workshop workers.

The mayor of Badalona, Xavier Garcia Albiol, has highlighted the importance of collaboration between the various police forces and has reiterated that the municipal government of Badalona will continue to promote surveillance and control work so that all businesses comply with the regulations, both from the environmental point of view as well as health or labor matters. “We will not let up, because Badalona must be a city where things work correctly,” the mayor assured.
