The PP considers that the change of cycle has been consolidated and that "el sanchismo" has been "KO".

Objectives accomplished. With the data from the polls as soon as the polls close, the PP considers the objectives that Alberto Núñez Feijóo set for himself on April 11, at the national board of directors held after the Easter holidays and when the pre-campaign began: to win municipal elections and have more autonomous governments.

But what is more important, the PP believes that these results represent "the change in the political cycle" that Feijóo was looking for so much, and that he considers that the PP has achieved. "Spain has started a new political cycle", stressed the president of the PP from the balcony of Calle Génova, after midnight, from where he celebrated the victory of the PP together with the acting president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso and José Luis Martínez Almeida, whom he congratulated for having both obtained an absolute majority.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo waited for all the barons who had elections today to appear before the media, before going out on the balcony for the first time, where he even threw himself at the request of those gathered on Génova street, and was greeted with shouts of " president, president" and of "oa, oa, oa, Feijóo a la Moncloa".

On a night in which the rain did not daunt those gathered, the president of the PP stressed that the victory achieved "is the victory of another way of doing politics" and that "Spain has given us its confidence." For the popular leader, "he has gained centrality in the face of radicalism, respect in the face of disqualifications. The general interest in the face of minority interests and for this reason, with 7 million votes, with almost two million more than four years ago, and With almost 800,000 more votes than the PSOE, we have won the municipal and regional elections cleanly, democratically".

Feijóo considers that the PP "has clearly won" and for this reason he is convinced that this victory "is a first step for a new political cycle that we are going to open to everyone in the coming months." The leader of the PP also addressed the other parties, including the PSOE: "These are not times of arrogance, but of humility" because the difficult thing "is not knowing how to win, but knowing how to lose", at the same time that he promised to "demonstrate who will rule with humility".

The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, was in charge of assessing, in the first place, the election day and recalled the aspirations set by the popular leader, who shortly after eight at night, indicated that they had managed to win in votes the municipal elections and having a government at least that of La Rioja, and that of Aragón, are safe, according to the surveys.

The number three of the PP did not want to launch the bells on the fly and were very prudent pending the real results, but he could not hide his optimism either: "We have good feelings on this election night", because in the Valencian Community the PP clearly wins, although to reach the Government he would need Vox, and even so the polls do not give it as certain.

In any case, and despite the prudence of the management, transmitted by Feijóo, on the seventh floor of Calle Génova, the leaders of the PP followed very carefully both the data that came to them from their own territories, and the surveys. Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Isabel Díaz Ayuso and José Luis Martínez Almeida, tried to contain their optimism, waiting for the real data to be known, after the polls give both of them an absolute majority.

The PP has already convened a steering committee for tomorrow and a national board of directors (the party's highest body between congresses) for Tuesday, in order to analyze the results in depth and to put the party in motion for the general elections.

Until then, the PP does not even want to hear about whether it will agree with Vox, or what its agreement policy will be. He prefers to "enjoy the results", and then it will be seen. and it is that for the PP “the blue tide has won the elections. a blue, very blue way”, say PP sources who were seen in the press room and spoke with the journalists at ease.

The conclusion was forceful: "The Spanish have spoken loud and clear" and what these results imply "is an absolute change of cycle", "the defeat of sanchismo", which has been possible, they stressed, because "there is an alternative that convinces ”. Or put another way. "The elections are a K.O for Sánchez."

The popular believe that Pedro Sánchez should reflect on what has happened, and not only on his results, but on what other parties like Bildu have obtained. And it is that for the PP the good results of the abertzale coalition are due "to the whitening that Sánchez de Bildu has done, from the moment in which "they have made him a stable partner."
