The gift of doing what they love

Leia Jiménez Navarro, Gemma Muñoz Burgués, Marta Gil Bardají and José Alejandro Santamaría. Four young Catalans who ten years ago succeeded in the selectivity with a 9.7, a 9.6, a 9.9 and a 9.7, respectively. All four explain that they have studied the career of their dreams, something they will never regret. May the future take you to one place or another...

It's an unpredictable thing, or not. What they are clear about is that we must never let ourselves be overcome by the obstacles that keep appearing on the way, that getting a ten in the selectivity does not guarantee you economic success, or yes, and that studying what moves you and apassiona has the best rewards: "It gives you happiness", agree these four university students. They explain to La Vanguardia their experience in the last decade. They work or research on what they chose when they went to university. But they make it clear that this satisfaction of doing what they like best is not synonymous with guaranteed success. Despite being so brilliant in their studies, when it comes time to put all this knowledge into practice in the world of work, things don't go by themselves. You need to continue training and your day-to-day life is not much different from that of other people of your age, even if they can work for what they like.
