Vox received 311,947 euros in 2019 through ATM deposits from bank branches into its current accounts without identifying who made them, which is why the Court of Accounts has warned of a possible sanctionable infraction if they consisted of anonymous donations.
Vox is the only party that incurred unidentified donations among the 32 whose accounting has been analyzed by the Court of Accounts in the latest audit report, referring to 2018 and 2019 and published in full this Monday, after an informative preview last week.
"It has not been possible to verify the nature of the accounting records for income from promotional activities that amounted to 311,947.05 euros in 2019, as no supporting documents were provided; this balance has been collected in cash through tables information and entered into the bank accounts of the training through successive entries through an ATM", states the Court of Auditors in the report.
It also adds that "the Vox political party has deposited, through ATMs, amounts of 20,601.04 euros in 2018 and 311,947.05 euros in 2019 which, although they have been registered as promotional activities, there is uncertainty as to whether "Part of said income corresponds to donations and not to the sale of products, which would violate the provisions of article 5.1 a) of the LOFPP since the possible donors have not been identified."
Although Vox is the only party with an infraction referring to unidentified donations, Más País has also been warned for another type of irregular donation, that coming from legal entities, for three receipts in 2019 that totaled 29,648 euros.
For a third type of irregular donation, the one made on a final basis, the Court of Auditors has warned that they incurred Més per Mallorca, in an amount of 2,194 euros; the PDECat, for 111,600 euros, and, again, Vox, which exceeded 152,000 euros.
The finalist donations attributed to Vox, both in 2019, were 120,483 euros for the "Help us with bail Borja" cause, whose purpose was to collaborate with the legal defense of a young man accused of homicide, and 31,665 euros for the "Complaint" cause against Quim Torra", who at that time presided over the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Sources from the Court of Accounts have indicated that although they analyze donations with all the means at their disposal, such as cross-checking data with the Ministry of the Interior to verify the identification of donors, they are not a specific anti-corruption body and base their reports on audit tools. .
This Monday the Court of Auditors has also published on its website an accounting report on foundations linked to political parties, in this case referring to 2020.
"Six of the audited foundations had negative net worth at the end of the 2020 financial year, with the Pablo Iglesias Foundation, the Ideas for Progress Foundation and the Disenso Foundation standing out for their quantitative importance, for amounts of 2,257,167, 146,138 and 78,020 euros" , points out the Court of Auditors.
Thus, the red numbers that two foundations linked to the PSOE, the first two, and one to Vox, the third, stand out.
