Mónica Oltra returns to practice as a lawyer after more than a year away from the political front line

The former vice president of the Valencian Government and absolute leader of Compromís, Mónica Oltra, has returned to the legal profession. More than a year after his resignation following his accusation for allegedly having participated in the cover-up of a case of sexual abuse in the department he directed, Oltra has announced on social networks that he is once again "fighting injustices from the legal profession and contributing to social justice and peace through mediation".

The former leader of Compromís, key to the political change in the Valencian Community in 2015, has changed her profile on the social network X (formerly Twitter) and has opened a profile on the professional network Linkedin. In it, she explains that her mediation has seduced her "as a more peaceful and humane way of addressing conflicts and also as an indispensable tool for social and relational transformation." Thus, she explains that through mediation, "the parties in conflict seek a solution and are protagonists of the agreement. The mediator is the essential bridge that helps the parties find each other."

In her new professional profile, Oltra - who has not wanted to intervene in politics after stepping aside after her resignation - explains that she is specialized in Family, Civil, Criminal, Contentious-Administrative, Fundamental Rights and Public Liberties, Functional Diversity, Mental Health and Dependency (Law). In addition, she offers mediation services in Family, Civil, Commercial, Community and Intercultural.

Oltra resigned from her positions in June 2022 and the judicial process in which she is immersed continues. At the moment, some of the news is being positive for her interests, although she remains accused. In fact, after analyzing nearly 50,000 emails, the Police Technical Operational Group found no evidence that Oltra hid the abuse of her ex-husband.
