The parliamentary group of Junts per Catalunya will request the appearance of the Minister of the Interior, Joan Ignasi Elena, due to the "circulatory chaos" generated this Saturday on the AP-7 as a result of the strong hail that fell in some towns in the Vallès Oriental.
In a statement, the party indicated this Sunday that "the parliamentary group considers it necessary to have all the information about the operation and the action protocol applied yesterday by the Servei Català de Trànsit and, therefore, the Department of the Interior."
He stressed, in this sense, that "in the last few hours several affected people have reported a series of negligence on the part of the Generalitat."
Due to the hailstorm, hundreds of drivers were trapped, in some cases for up to five hours, in both directions of the AP-7, until a snow plow in each direction was able to remove the ice from the highway.
