Feijóo winks at rural Spain and disputes the votes of La España Vaciada

Celadas is a town in Teruel of 362, located 18 kilometers from the capital, where the popular candidate, Raquel Clemente, won. That is where the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has gone this Saturday, as a symbol of the constitution of the municipalities throughout.

A nod to rural Spain, which Feijóo has preferred to go to some of the municipalities with which the PP has been made, either with an absolute majority like Madrid, or in a minority, such as Seville, Valencia, either with pacts or solo.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo wants to launch, with this message, the idea that the PP is pending what is known as Spain emptied, because it knows it. Yesterday, in Celadas, the popular leader boasted of being from a similar town, with the same inhabitants, in an attempt to ensure that the parties gathered around the idea of an emptied Spain do not take away votes for July 23. And it is that the data sings.

The parties belonging to the Empty Spain did not manage to be key anywhere after the elections of May 28. The España Vaciada platform achieved representation in only one of the four regional assemblies in which it was presented and in two of the seven provincial capitals in which it fought for mayor, and it ran out of options to condition any government.

In the Cortes de Aragón, the Existe has obtained three deputies, obtaining representation in the region for the first time, placing itself as the third force in Teruel, the province in which it obtained its three seats.

The España Vaciada Platform obtained its best result in Teruel, obtaining five councilors and being second force. However, Teruel Existe has no possibility of configuring any Executive, since the PP obtained 11 councilors, which has given it an absolute majority.

Formations of this platform were not only presented in Aragon. In Logroño, the Partido Riojano plus España Vaciada coalition got a councilor, who will not be decisive for the formation of the government, since the popular ones had an absolute majority. Empty Spain was presented on May 28 in 233 municipalities of 13 provinces: Teruel, Huesca, Zaragoza, La Rioja, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Valladolid, Asturias, Toledo, Cuenca and Almería. At the regional level, Empty Spain appeared in Aragon, La Rioja, Asturias and Castilla-La Mancha.

Some results that have resulted in little municipal and regional power, but that in votes, and more so in general elections, a few deputies can decide, especially in these small provinces, and Núñez Feijóo needs to be able to gather all the possible seats, to to be able to fulfill its objective of depending as little as possible on Vox.

In Celadas (Teruel), the president of the PP stressed that with his presence he wanted to "testify the political importance of proximity and my commitment to rural Spain." It is the policy that Feijóo claims, "the one that cares about important things: water, sewerage, that the streets are clean, that the streetlights work, that public services can reach the towns, industrial or agri-food activity ".

It is "real politics", which Feijóo claimed as his own, which is "the one that solves problems", to the truth that he expressed his "commitment to rural Spain", which he knows, he said, and knows what he needs: Work, companies, public services, connectivity.

"I want to be the president of rural Spain," he said, the president of all those who live in rural areas" to whom he offers a plan: "Take companies to rural areas, making an intensive reduction in taxes for those who want to invest in the rural area; lower taxes for those who buy homes in rural areas, and establish systems to care for children and the elderly".

Alberto Núñez Feijóo expressed his confidence that "on July 23 the electoral turnaround will completely end, a new page will be opened in the history of Spain and leave behind these 5 years of government." He promises it will be "a quiet, sedate but intense change in politics."
