The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has insisted this Tuesday that if he wins the elections on July 23 and can govern, he will repeal sanchismo and has specified that he will repeal the law of democratic memory or the trans law, while he has lowered the bar in other regulations such as the labor reform, some aspects of which, in his opinion, "harm workers."
Specifically, Feijóo, in an interview on Onda Cero in which he has promised at least one face-to-face with Pedro Sánchez during the electoral campaign, has referred to the law for real and effective equality for trans people and for the guarantee of the rights of LGTBI people, of which he has ensured that "attempts against minors, parents, doctors, feminist groups... against the most elementary sense".
In line with this, Feijóo has lamented that "it is easier to change sex than to get a driver's license", for which he has called it "nonsense" that to change sex it is enough to "go to the registry and say that from today you are a gentleman". "We will regulate trans rights, but not this one," warned Feijóo, in whose opinion, "hormones have to be put in by doctors, not decided by a minor."
Regarding the euthanasia law, the leader of the PP has indicated that "we will have to see it and we will have to study it". Regarding labor legislation, he says that any change will be discussed and, if possible, agreed upon. "I will not do anything without talking and negotiating with the social agents", he has warned.
On the other hand, the PP candidate has explained that he is going to reduce the number of ministries and is going to make a very important adjustment in public spending and has assured that he is going to change the CIS and that this is part of the repeal of sanchismo. He has also promised to lower the personal income tax in the first hundred days or to implement a new law of the General Council of the Judiciary.
On the other hand, Feijóo has urged Vox to facilitate PP governments, such as María Guardiola's in Extremadura, because otherwise Santiago Abascal's party "is voting for the PSOE" and that "goes against" its "principles and electoral commitments. In any case, Feijóo does not give up on achieving absolute majorities like those of Andalusia or Madrid and like the one he already achieved as regional president in Galicia.
Regarding the regional negotiations, where the PP depends on the yes of Vox in the Valencian Community, Extremadura and Aragon and on its abstention in the Region of Murcia and the Balearic Islands, Feijóo has stressed that he has given autonomy to his barons to try investitures.
In addition, she has expressed her full confidence in Guardiola in Extremadura and has stressed that he tied for seats with the PSOE and that she understands that "it is up to her to govern". For this reason, the PP candidate has stressed the difficulties that many Spaniards will have to vote and that is why he has opted to extend the hours of the Post Office and even open it on weekends to facilitate voting by mail.
On the relationship of the PP with Vox and on a possible government of the PP conditioned by Vox, Feijóo has repeated again that he comes to renew his democratic commitment to govern the list with the most votes in Spain and that the investiture be facilitated to the one who wins the elections. elections.
