The councilors of the Esquerra Republicana (ERC) of the municipalities of Badalona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Sant Adrià de Besòs (Barcelonès North), Àlex Montornès, Sam Núñez and Rubèn Arenas, have announced in a press conference the joint allegations they have presented in the Metropolitan Urban Development Plan (PDUM) to improve the development of the Baix Besòs territory.
In order to contribute to sustainable and balanced development, the allegations presented cover regional and local levels. From a regional perspective, proposals focused on mobility and the preservation of the Serralada de Marina stand out. Particularly noteworthy is the proposal to extend the tram from the Rodalies Station in Sant Adrià de Besòs to Badalona, establishing the latter as an intermodal station between railway, metro and tram. This initiative also contemplates the transformation of the C-31, currently under debate in the Commission to study the future of the C-31 highway.
In the allegations, specific considerations have been included for each municipality: in the area of Besòs Central, which affects the three towns, the Republicans consider that the need to modify the current urban planning should be specified, with a 30-story building, to adapt it to the reality of the Colomian neighborhood of Safaretjos. In the area of La Bastida in Santa Coloma de Gramanet, they address crucial issues such as the expansion of the metropolitan park, as well as the improvement of municipal facilities. In another area, Sant Adrià proposes the study of urban compatibility so that petanque sports entities can use the areas they currently occupy.
The councilors highlighted the importance of dialogue with the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) and other entities to reach these improvement proposals. After various meetings and collaborations with the AMB and other relevant actors, the municipal groups and the executive of Esquerra Republicana del Baix Besòs have prepared a set of allegations that are presented as a contribution to the PDUM.
With these allegations, Esquerra Republicana reaffirms its continued commitment to Baix Besòs and the improvement of its environment, with the aim of guaranteeing sustainable and harmonious growth that benefits the community as a whole.
