To seal that offer until the last moment, Collboni has made it clear that he will maintain his candidacy for the investiture and is reaching out to dialogue and negotiations to form a tripartite that makes possible an alternative majority to Trias, although right now those of Ernest Maragall are not they are for the job or sitting down to negotiate.
"The PSC remains faithful to its commitment to its voters, the commitment to make the majority mandate of May 28 a reality and the dream of the vast majority of progressive voters," Jaume Collboni defended this Thursday at the federation council of the PSC de Barcelona, where he has been received by his people shouting "mayor". There, the socialist candidate has returned to speak in public after a sepulchral silence since the day of the elections that he only briefly interrupted at the Cercle d'Economia meeting and that contrasts with the constant verbiage of the other candidates, especially the still mayor Ada Colau.
Collboni's pressure has been directed especially at Ernest Maragall's party: "If the thesis of the pro-independence front prospers, with between 11 and 16 councillors, Barcelona would be condemned to ungovernability and a blockade", lamented the leader of the PSC in the capital Catalan, describing the possibility of Trias being mayor as "a step backwards in overcoming the conflict and the politics of blocs that Catalonia has experienced".
