The PP-A starts the XII Andalusian Legislature by giving up a position on the Chamber Table to Vox

A few minutes before the Andalusian Parliament is constituted, the president-elect, Juanma Moreno, has revealed the names of his colleagues who will occupy a position on the Table of the Chamber.

"Tremendously excited" and with "enormous responsibility" Moreno appears at the start of this XII Legislature, the first to be chaired by the Popular Party in the history of Andalusian democracy.

If yesterday he revealed through social networks that he would bet on Jesús Aguirre, Minister of Health, as president of the Table, today he has advanced that he will propose Ana Mestre (deputy for Cádiz) as First Vice President, Manuel Andrés (from the constituency of Huelva) as First Secretary of the Board and J. Carmona as Third Secretary.

The latest announcement made by the president is the name of the person who will become the group's spokesperson in Parliament. In this case, the position will be unemployed by Sevillian Toni Martín.

Moreno has argued his commitment to Aguirre, who was the Minister of Health in the previous legislature, as the president of the Chamber for his "great capacity for dialogue" for "his empathy and sympathy" as well as for "his freshness, something that will incorporate here in this solemn institution", he commented.

Let us remember that the Cordovan politician has been responsible for managing the crisis caused by the covid, an "impeccable" management that the leader of the PP-A has wanted to reward with this appointment.

The deputy for Cádiz is a "fighter, responsible woman with extensive parliamentary experience and great solvency, capacity and enthusiasm", Moreno described who will be the First Vice President of the Parliamentary Table.

Mestre achieved a "historic result" in Cadiz in the regional elections, said the president-elect, who recalled that he has also served as a delegate of the Government of the Board in the province of Cadiz.

Due to his experience in management, Moreno has decided to place J. Carmona at the head of the position as Third Secretary at the Parliamentary Table

"He has held positions of responsibility in one of the most beautiful municipalities of Andalusia, Antequera", commented Moreno, "he is a well-rounded parliamentarian and a good spokesman" for the party, commented the leader of the PP-A, every time he pointed out that "he going to do with integrity, dedication and honesty".

Toni Martín, deputy for Seville, will be the spokesman for the PP parliamentary group. Due to his extensive experience and his courage, Moreno has opted for him to hold this position.

"It is a complex position" but "Toni is the most suitable person" to carry it out.

Moreno has also insisted on the "enormous generosity" that his party has shown to cede the third vice presidency to Vox, a position that will be held by Mercedes Rodríguez Tamayo.

Let us remember that the PP has handed over one of the 5 positions that corresponded to it in the Table according to the 58 seats that they obtained on 19-J to the extreme right in order, the president has commented, that it be a "plural" body, every time he has criticized that the second most voted force, the PSOE-A, has not wanted to do the same "with the parties on his left". Likewise, he has revealed that a committee will be created for Por Andalucía, that is, a position with a voice but without a vote for the confluence of the left.

Thus, the XII Legislature will have a Table composed of 8 seats. Four of them for the popular ones, two for the socialists, one for Vox and the vocal for Por Andalucía.

The third vice-presidency of Vox will be embodied by the Almeria deputy Mercedes Rodríguez Tamayo while the vocal will fall to Alejandra Durán, deputy from Granada.

However, despite the fact that Adelante Andalucía, led by Teresa Rodríguez, claimed a place in the organ, it has finally been left out. It remains up in the air if he will finally resort to the judicial route, as he already announced yesterday.

With the distribution of posts, the PP-A ensures that, with its four votes, its initiatives in this body go ahead.

Today Jesús Aguirre is garnering all the attention of the media after the statement by Juanma Moreno, president-elect, where he bet on the one who has been the Minister of Health as the future president of Parliament. In addition, it so happens that the Cordovan acts as president today in the Table of Ages as he is the oldest of the deputies of the Chamber, a body in charge of counting votes for the constitution of the Table of Parliament.

There are 109 deputies who must swear or promise their position throughout the day today, 58 from the PP, 30 from the PSOE, 14 from Vox, 5 from Por Andalucía and 2 more from Adelante Andalucía. In this legislature, parity is the norm: 55 politicians are men while there are 54 women politicians. Of these, 61 deputies arrive for the first time in Parliament, while there are 33 who repeat office, 16 of them return to the Chamber after a few years.

On the other hand, Moreno still does not reveal the names of those who will surround him in his Government, so the heads of the ministries remain a mystery that, predictably, will remain until next week.

It will be Wednesday the 20th and Thursday the 21st when the investiture debate will be held, and the next day, Friday the 22nd of July, the popular Malaga native will take office as president of the Andalusian Government.
