Telephone 112 has received 1,138 calls for 738 files until midnight this Monday, according to sources from the Department of the Interior, on the "rainiest" day since November 23, 2021 in Catalonia, according to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat ).

Emergencias has detailed that the majority of calls have been made from the regions of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona. Specifically, it has highlighted those of the regions of Vallès Occidental (432) and Baix Llobregat (374) and Barcelonès (114). By municipality, 134 calls were recorded in Terrassa, 121 in Sant Cugat del Vallès and 114 in Barcelona.

For his part. The Firefighters have responded to some 445 calls, in 24 hours, due to incidents derived from the rain, concentrated in the metropolitan regions. The majority of services have been to resolve problems due to water accumulation, falling branches or trees, sanitation or incidents with wiring on public roads, according to the emergency department.

Like holy water. The precipitated rain over Catalonia this Monday will help minimize the accumulated drought, increase the water reserves of the swamps and give water to forests and crops, since it has watered, practically throughout the day, the four provinces with accumulations of up to 100 liters per square meter in some parts of the province of Barcelona.

In this sense, in Viladecans it has registered the highest value of the day with 124.3 mm and it has not rained so much in a single day for more than 21 years in this point of the Baix Llobregat, we have to go back to October 9, 2002 , according to Meteocat.

As the day has passed, some stretches of rivers have intensified. Those that have seen their flow increase the most are those of the Llobregat, reaching the alert threshold in its last section in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, with 800 cubic meters per second; del Besòs, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, and del Ripoll.

Civil Protection has also warned not to approach flood zones of both rivers on foot or by car due to the rains. The alert phase of the Inuncat plan also remains activated due to the intensity and accumulation of rain on the coast and pre-coastal of the regions of Barcelona and Tarragona.

Snow has returned to the Pyrenees with thicknesses reaching 100 cm, according to Meteocat. The cold air and the injection of precipitation mean that the Pyrenees have recorded good amounts of snow, the third most important of the season. In the western sector, snow depths of 100 cm have accumulated in Certascan; 89 cm in Boí, elevation 2,500; and 62 cm in Espot, 2,400 meters. On the other hand, in the east and the Pre-Pyrenees the figures are more modest, with snowfalls above 2,000 meters and thicknesses of up to 30 centimeters in Ulldeter, 12 in Cadí Nord or 12 in Port del Comte.

This amount of accumulated snow will be an important water reserve for the Segre and Nogueres basins, to which must be added the rain that has already been dumped during the last three days in this sector of the Pyrenees.

One of the most notable incidents has been the collapse of the roof of the Can Jofresa pavilion, in Terrassa, around seven in the afternoon, with no injuries, as reported by the Firefighters.

The event has forced the mobilization of emergency personnel, the Municipal Police and several personnel of the Medical Emergency Service (SEM), who have evacuated the pavilion.

In several municipalities, the water accumulated on the road has complicated circulation on some roads.
