The French Stephanie Frappart will debut refereeing Real Madrid

The French Stephanie Frappart has been appointed by UEFA to referee the Real Madrid-Celtic game on the last day of group F of the Champions League. Frappart, 38, has been a FIFA referee since 2011 and in 2018 she was appointed to the final of the 2018 U-20 Women's Soccer World Cup, between Spain and Japan, played in Vannes, and in July 2019 she directed the final of the Women's World Cup between the United States and the Netherlands. She has also been selected for the World Cup in Qatar.

In August 2019, she became the first woman in history appointed to referee the UEFA Super Cup final assisted by Manuela Nicosi, the Irish Michelle O'Neal and the Turkish Cuneyt Cakir.

In December 2020, she was the first referee to direct a Champions League match. She debuted in Turin, in the match between Juventus and Dynamo kyiv. This season she has officiated two Europa League matches, as well as being a regular at French League matches.

Frappart will be assisted on the wings by his compatriots Mikael Berchebru and Benjamin Pages. the fourth referee will be Johan Hamel, while Benoît Millot will be in charge of the VAR with the help of the Italian Massimiliano Irrati.

The Manchester City - Sevilla will be in charge of the Israeli Orel Grinfeeld, helped on the wings by his compatriots Roy Hassan and Idan Yarkoni. The fourth referee will be Gal Leibovitz and Roi Reinshreiber will be in charge of the VAR, helped by the Italian Paolo Valeri.
