The Association of Air Lines (ALA) showed its disagreement yesterday because the plane is the only means of transport excluded from the anti-crisis measures of the shock plan in response to the war in Ukraine.
The employers' association made reference to the new royal decree-law, which imposes new economic obligations on the sector, by establishing that the operation and maintenance expenses, as well as the necessary investments for the implementation of the entry and exit system to control the external borders of the Member States are recovered via airport charges within the framework of DORA.
In this sense, the president of ALA, Javier Gándara, lamented in a statement that the Executive "has once again left out of aid for economic sustainability a sector as strategic as the air sector" that "does not escape the consequences of this war, and which is also bearing the rise in fuel prices”.
In this way, ALA has asked the Government to adopt measures to support the sector that help reduce the burdens they bear and thus help them cushion the consequences of this crisis due to the armed conflict.
