The bodies of four British teenagers who had been missing since they went on a camping trip in Wales were found this Tuesday inside an overturned and partially submerged car, British police have explained.

Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris, university students aged 16 to 18, had traveled to Snowdania, North Wales, over the weekend, where they were going to camp for one night.

The families of the four boys, upon seeing that they did not return to their homes in Shrosphire, England, on Monday, alerted the British police, pointing out that the last time they had seen them had been on Sunday morning in a silver Ford Fiesta.

Following a tip-off from a member of the public, police found a crashed car in the water on Tuesday morning, around five miles from where they were last seen in Porthmadog two days earlier.

"At this time, this appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the four young people at this very difficult time," said North Wales Police Superintendent Owain Llewellyn.

Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales, also regretted the death of the young people, saying that this was "devastating news."
