The case of a man forced to travel 800 km for a procedure with Social Security has been resolved

After 11 months trying, without success, to close a procedure with Social Security, Ramón, a resident of Barcelona who was forced to travel 800 kilometers for a simple procedure, had to explain it to El món to RAC1 so that everything was clear. Solved in a week.

As he himself explained, the affected person pointed out that his problem could be resolved in a couple of mornings, but he had been struggling with bureaucracy for 11 months. He had a special agreement with Social Security. In February 2023 he had to modify it because the compensation he receives each month since he was fired exceeded the legal maximum and, from here, he had to start contributing.

But everything collapsed and no one explained anything to him. Weeks and months passed and always the same message: either you go to León or nothing. Until he reported it on the RAC1 morning program and decided to go to the headquarters of the Social Security Treasury in Barcelona. "They told me they had heard the program and they treated me very well."

Said and done: last week they confirmed that the agreement has already been registered correctly. After almost a year of waiting, he explained his case to the radio and everything fell into place.
