A Civil Guard control in Teruel files 74 complaints in a single morning

No more and no less than 74 complaints in a single morning were filed by the Teruel Civil Guard during a traffic control a few days ago on the A-23 highway, within the municipality of La Puebla de Valverde (between Teruel capital and Sarrion)

According to a note from Benemérita, this road safety operation was established on the morning of October 27 with the aim of avoiding accidents and raising awareness about the behaviors that pose the greatest risk to drivers.

In total, the speed of 748 vehicles was controlled and 312 alcohol tests and 7 drug tests were carried out on different drivers, of which 5 of them returned a positive result.

Among the vehicles controlled, the final balance was 40 drivers reported for traveling at excessive speed, another 22 for different violations of the Road Safety Law and its regulations and another 7 professional drivers, dedicated to the transport of goods, also reported by violations of transport regulations.

In its statement, the Civil Guard recalls that the Traffic Group, in its surveillance and control work, periodically carries out these road safety devices, especially to control speed, alcohol or drugs and transport, since these are the factors most frequent seen in accidents recorded on the roads.

In addition, he called on drivers to always comply with traffic regulations, avoid the consumption of alcohol or other narcotic substances and respect the maximum speeds established for different roads.
