This grumpy turtle was at home all day and now he is happy: this is how he achieved it

Hello all animal lovers! There are many pets, but there are surely few like Seamus. This large turtle was in an incredible bad mood. In fact, his grumpy attitude and tendency to hit and drag furniture earned him the nickname grumposaurus, which is a cute combination of the words grumpy - in English grumpy - and dinosaur - in English dinosaur -.

Jessica, who has taken care of this reptile, was absolutely overwhelmed by Seamus' energetic nature. As she told The Dodo portal, it was not easy to approach the turtle or stop its impulses. "Wow, we chose violence again," Jessica laments in a home video as she attempts to remove Seamus. Fortunately, the turtle has been rehabilitated thanks to a very particular object.

Adopting Seamus was not an impulsive act. This large turtle belonged to a family member who was moving to Colorado, a state where turtles don't have such a favorable climate, so Jessica knew it was very important for Seamus to have a home. “It snows there, so it's not the best conditions for the turtle,” Jessica explained.

As the woman said, this change did not sit well with the turtle. From the beginning she was very elusive, surly and with a great instinct to break things. There was no piece of furniture that could resist him. Neither chairs, nor tables, nor the space that they had reserved for her to sleep.

Fortunately, Seamus' new family managed to find a way to calm this gigantic creature: "My husband read that if you deflate a ball and give it to them, they love it. And wow, it was an instant connection." With this simple gesture, Jessica has claimed that Seamus' quality of life gave a huge boost.

This change in the relationship between Jessica and Seamus not only attenuated the turtle's destructive behavior, but also strengthened their bond, leading Seamus to accept petting and be more sociable: "We have noticed that his personality has come out a lot. more since we gave him the ball.”

Inspired by this evolution, the family decided to provide Seamus with more basketballs of different colors, which demonstrates Jessica's determination to understand and satisfy the needs of her large pet. "It's a good way for him to see that he can trust me and that I love him," Jessica said, underlining the deep love she has for the turtle.
