The incombustible Waterboys and their folk rhythms brought from the British Isles are the latest name that has been included in the seventh edition of the Terramar festival along with the Bresh party and the show Love, love, love by Jose Corbacho and Ramon Gener, three proposals that They complete a poster with proposals as striking as those of Camela, Antònia Font, Mushkaa or Ludovico Einaudi who will perform from July 24 to August 9. The Terramar gardens, inaugurated in 1919 as part of the garden city project by architect Josep Maria Martino, host a festival that in the last edition attracted more than 24,000 attendees, made up mostly (81.9%) of the public from the province of Barcelona. , which takes advantage of the proximity of the space to enjoy a poster that the co-director of the event, Joan Ramon Rodríguez, defined as “eclectic” in the presentation held this Thursday in Barcelona. “We have tried not to repeat the same concept of other festivals of the territory".

The concert by The Waterboys (August 2) moves along this differential line, the band of Scotsman Mike Scott who throughout their long career (43 years, 15 albums) has become a benchmark for British rock and folk. Celtic with hits like The whole of the moon, How long will I love you or Fisherman's blues, which will be played in their only performance in Catalonia. Another unique proposal is Love, love, love (August 4), the musical show guided by Jose Corbacho and the musical popularizer Ramon Gener that humorously covers the great hits of classical and modern music with the presence on stage of the Vallès Simfònica orchestra and The Love Rock Band.

Within this eclectic concept is also the show Bresh (August 5), an international phenomenon born in Argentina that since its birth has become a benchmark for mass parties. “The most beautiful party in the world”, as its creators call it, has managed to attract artists of the stature of Rosalía, Duki, Lola Índigo or Rauw Alejandro with a concept of a traveling party based on freedom and a DJ set adapted to every occasion.

These shows are added to those already known, such as the concert by Ludovico Einaudi, who will open the festival on July 24 with his classically inspired music, a proposal similar to that of Hauser (August 1), the Croatian cellist founder of the 2 Cellos who will present the show Rebel with a Cello. Urban music in Catalan will be the protagonist with the double concert by 31 Fam and Mushkaa (August 2), two local proposals that will present their latest works, X si ens veiem en una altra vida by the Sabadell sextet, and Sexysensible, the first album by the Bad Gyal's sister. Two proposals that share sound with Ana Mena (August 6), the author of Madrid city with more than 6 million listeners on Spotify, who will perform within the Bellodrama tour.

With the same festive spirit, Camela, the duo formed by Dionisio Martín and María Muñoz, will take the stage, celebrating their 30 years on stage by remembering the successes that made them essential at festivals, bumper cars and gas stations such as When love sets sail, Háblale from me or Go away.

The lineup also features two veteran groups such as Sopa de Cabra (July 27) and Antònia Font (August 9). Gerard Quintana's band arrives as part of the Ánima tour with which they present the songs from their future new album while celebrating 30 years of the Ben endins album. For their part, the Mallorcan Antònia Font will be in charge of closing the festival as part of the successful theater tour with which they have returned to the stage to present the album Un minut estroboscòpica.

The musical proposal is completed with the Imprescindibles cycle, which will bring local musicians to the heart of the Terramar gardens in advance of concerts that will have a solidarity aspect, as 50 cents of each ticket will be dedicated to the secular Sant Joan Baptista hospital in Sitges. , which currently functions as a geriatric residence with an outstanding social and care function.
