Despite the pleas of the authorities and animal associations, some owners have no qualms about mistreating and abandoning their dogs in the cruelest way. This has been the case of a young Pit bull, who was located in terrible conditions in an abandoned house in Fulton County, in the US state of Georgia.
The animal was tied short and by the neck to some branches in the garden of this abandoned house. They had used a heavy metal chain, strongly tensioned, which caused an injury to his neck.
Some neighbors heard the screams of this dog, who could barely move, according to The Dodo. When they reached that point, they verified the animal's suffering and found its extreme thinness, after days without eating. "Have they left you here to die?" exclaims one of them.
The rescue was not easy. First, they cut the chain that tied this pit bull to the branches. Then, they used a soft cloth leash so as not to cause further damage to the animal. From there, she went straight to the vet. For weeks, she was cared for and fed. And she also managed to remove the metal collar.
After that torturous process, the animal has made a full recovery. His wound has also healed. Now, he has a new home where he runs around and some owners who give him a lot of love.
Despite the traumatic episode, this Pit bull seems to have no problem socializing with other dogs and people either. She plays with other dogs and is always willing to give her owners a cuddle.
