Rigoberta Bandini dedicates her Goya to the LGTBIQ collective: "They will never violate your rights again"

It is the first time that Paula Ribó, better known as Rigoberta Bandini, enters the world of cinema and she has done so through the front door, because tonight she has won a Goya award for her song I only want love, from the soundtrack of I'm loving you madly.

“My song is just a small piece of a perfect gear,” the Catalan began her speech, recognizing that the big head should be divided into three parts, since “it is also for my music producers.” One of them is her husband, Esteban Navarro, who, she says, “is the best father in the world” and whom she has thanked for “giving love to our family and musical project.”

The singer has also dedicated the award to “my friends who are part of the group. I made this song thinking of them. They have all been called dykes and faggots and have had to hide to fit in. “They will never violate your rights again.”

The song competed with four other candidates, the veteran Xoel López, author of Eco, for the film Amigos hasta la muerte; Marina Herlop, for the song Chinas for the film of the same title, and Fernando Moresi and Sergio Beltrán for La gallinita, created for La imatge permanent.
