Nacho Vegas will open the Intimates festival in a renovated Cotton Club

With proximity to the artist as its flagship, the Barcelona Casino has announced the artists who will be part of the fifth edition of the Íntims Festival, the cycle that over the next few months will feature the presence of artists of the caliber of Nacho Vegas, Sole Giménez, David DeMaría or Blas Cantó. The secluded Cotton Club room, which has just undergone a comprehensive renovation, will host a musical offering that Oriol Mestres, the Casino's communications manager, has highlighted for its diversity, “with different styles so that everyone can feel comfortable,” and which allows us to see in small format “national artists with a long and successful career.” In total there will be seven performances to which one more will be added yet to be revealed, although they have announced that it is an international artist with a lot of ties to our country.

The concerts, which will be held on Saturday at 10:30 p.m., will begin with Nacho Cano, the Asturian musician and writer who on February 24 will present his latest album, Mundos inmóviles derrumbaiendo, along with the songs he has subsequently published, and which he recently has been grouped together in the EP De púas y tumbas. It will not be the only presentation of the cycle, as David DeMaría (April 27) returns to the festival where he already performed in 2019 to offer the compilation At these heights of the game, with which he celebrates his 25 years of career, while Sole Giménez ( June 29) does so as part of the Celebration tour, the title of the self-titled album he published to celebrate his 40 years on stage. And in another generational range, Blas Cantó will close the festival on November 30 with the songs from El Príncipe, the Murcian artist's second pop work.

For the second year, the promoter Clipper's has been in charge of the musical programming, which includes media artists such as Marta Sánchez (March 23), who has prepared a concert adapted to the format of the Cotton Club and its intimate 250 seats, where she will perform a repertoire of more than 30 songs accompanied by piano and choir. Another recognizable voice is Rosa López (September 28), winner of the first edition of Operación Triunfo, the same origin as Edurne, participant in the fourth edition, who will perform on October 26 to collect the concert scheduled last year that she could not celebrate after being forced to suspend her tour.

Tickets, which have a price between 35 and 55 euros, can be purchased from the Casino Barcelona website accompanied by a discount for the establishment's restaurants.
