A new Christmas show comes to the capital: Christmas on Ice. This is a new event on an 800 square meter ice rink in which 23 international skaters will surprise the 5,000 spectators at the Madrid Arena, located in Casa de Campo, in the capital.
For 75 minutes, the viewer goes on a journey that goes through the stories and tales of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, The Snow Queen or The Little Mermaid. In addition, the tour is surrounded by the captivating musical background of The Nutcracker, one of the melodies linked to the Christmas season.
Toni Mercer, director of the show, revealed this Friday that it is "an artistic reinterpretation of traditional tales." While Felype de Lima, artistic director of Letsgo, the company organizing the show, highlighted that the idea was "to get adult and child audiences to experience the classic stories in a unique way." In her opinion, "this proposal respects artistic discipline and achieves world-class technical quality."
You can see the show from December 15 to January 7. On weekends there are three sessions: at 12:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and from Wednesday to Friday, two (4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.). As for prices, there is an offer of four tickets for 37.5 euros with the code Christmas4 on December 21, 22, 27 and 28. And if you purchase more than 4 tickets you can get discounts of 25%. However, the price of general admission is 16.50 euros.
By bus you can get there on lines 31, 33, 36, 39 and 65. And by metro, the closest stations are Lago, Puerta del Ángel and Alto de Extremadura.
