Astonishment at a cake that perfectly recreates a famous painting by Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh painted The Starry Night in 1889. Since then, this famous oil painting has been recreated in every way imaginable: from keychains to T-shirts, to bags to drawings. Even the Lego brand created a set thanks to the imagination of Truman Cheng, a fan who submitted his proposal through the LEGO Ideas initiative.

This post-impressionist painting, currently on display at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, marked a before and after in the history of art, and has served to inspire artists of all kinds and from all over the world when it comes to create your own works.

The latest example that has shaken social networks is the one published by the @Arteymas_ account on X, which showed a photograph of a three-tier cake, decorated with great care and detail.

With the description "The perfect cake does not exist...", the author of X's account wanted to imply that the perfect cake does exist and it is this one: the one that recreates the blue and yellow colors, the sinuous shapes of clouds and the little houses from The Starry Night.

The publication has gone viral very quickly, reaching 17,000 likes in less than 24 hours. The majority of comments congratulate the author and recognize the difficulty of a creation like this: "Decorating this cake must be a difficult task, I see the angles and the rounds, will it be Vallina paste or fondant, cream, who will it be, it is a huge task , all credit to its creator."

Even the most conservative have applauded the pastry chef: "I am very traditional when it comes to cakes but you have to admit that this one is very pretty." Almost all users agreed that, in addition to looking pretty, it also looked delicious.
